About

In 2012, Josée received her diploma in social work from the University of Moncton. During the following years, she had the opportunity to work for the Department of Youth Protection in Kuujjuaq, Nunavik, in mental health, in forensic psychiatry, as well as in a hospital environment, for Horizon and Vitalité Networks. This allowed her to develop a significant interest in oncology care and palliative care; It is in this area that the most significant encounters of her career as a social worker occurred. Josée will always remain grateful to the clients she met, as well as to their families, for trusting her and letting her enter into their privacy during this difficult part of their lives.

In 2023, after a period of reflection, Josée decided that it was time to leave social work to pursue her goal of opening her private practice in hypnotherapy.  She therefore decided to enroll at the École Professionnelle d'Hypnose Thérapeutique et Médicale du Canada to become a practitioner in hypnotherapy.

Values

Josée wants her approach to reflect the services she or her famly members would like to receive; an approach based on respect, acceptance, non-judgment, confidentiality, and compassion.

She prioritizes a collaborative approach between her and her clients and it is important for her to accompany them in the developement of their autonomy, their full potential, and to highlight the resources they already have.

Josée takes the time to listen to her client's needs and goal while considering their individuality and pace.
