What is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a therapy that uses hypnosis as a therapeutic tool. During the session, the client is in an altered state of consciousness called a hypnotic trance. The altered state of consciousness is a natural state that we all experience regularly, such as when we look at a campfire or when we are lost in our thoughts. The hypnotic trance could be described as a state where the person is between the awake state and the sleeping state. This state allows the conscious mind and the critical barrier to lower itself and thus allows direct access to the subconscious mind in order to create the desired changes. Having access to the subconscious mind is a privileged access, allowing us to discover the resources that are within us or to modify and create new patterns among other things.
